Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. What do I need to do before my dog can attend daycare or boarding?
Before booking, I require all dogs to have a free intake consultation at my home, where I run the daycare. This allows me to observe how they behave outside their home and ensure they’ll be a good fit with the other dogs. For safety, dogs remain separate from other dogs during the consultation. I also require that owners sign a pet care agreement before their dog’s first day.
2. Are vaccinations or other health requirements needed?
Yes! I require all dogs to be up-to-date on rabies, DHPP, and bordetella, and to have a recent fecal test. Please provide proof of these before your dog’s first visit.
3. What should I bring for my dog?
All dogs must wear a collar with identification.
For daycare, your dog doesn’t need to bring much, just themselves! If your dog has dietary restrictions, please bring any treats or special food they need.
For boarding, in addition to treats or special food, you can bring any beds or blankets you’d like your dog to have in their crate, as well as slow feeders or toys they enjoy. I provide regular bowls, bones, blankets, and plenty of enrichment if you don’t bring anything.
4. What if my dog has special needs or takes medication?
No problem! I’m happy to accommodate medications, dietary restrictions, or special care routines. Please let me know during the intake consultation so I can prepare properly.
5. How does drop-off and pick-up work?
Drop-off is available anytime after 7:30 AM. When you arrive in the morning, please wait in your car and text me that you’re here. I will come out and meet you at your car to get your dog. Pick-up is by 5:30 PM, and when you arrive, please wait in your car and text me, and I will meet you at your car with your dog. This helps keep transitions safe and smooth for all the dogs.
Dogs who are boarding must be picked up before 5:30 PM on the day their stay ends. If not, another day of boarding will be added and they can be picked up the following day.
6. Can my dog attend daycare every day?
Yes! Dogs can attend as often as their temperament and schedule allow. During the intake consultation, I can help you plan the best schedule so your dog stays happy, socialized, and well-rested.
7. What if my dog doesn’t get along with others?
Safety is my top priority. I carefully match dogs based on temperament and play style. If your dog prefers solo time or smaller groups, I can accommodate that.
8. How are emergencies handled?
In the unlikely event of an emergency, your dog will receive immediate care, and I will notify you right away. I have procedures in place to handle medical situations calmly and efficiently.
9. How much does daycare and boarding cost?
For detailed pricing and more information about my services, please check the Daycare and Boarding pages. All bookings require an intake consultation before your dog’s first visit.
10. How can I help support your business?
